Women Spirit Song has performed 23 concerts spanning almost 15 years. More than 400 women have been part of the chorus during that time. We had hoped to be able to continue on for another 15 years, but it is with great regret that we are announcing that WSS is ending, and will not be re-forming in the fall.
This was not an easy decision for the Inner Harmony Board of Directors, however, after much thought and discussion, it was decided to cease operations.
We would like to thank ALL of the women who have ever been a part of this wonderful and unique women's community chorus here in Southern New Hampshire. We would also like to thank ALL of the people who over the years have purchased tickets to our concerts. We hope that you thoroughly enjoyed the repertoire, the energy, the performances, and that wonderfully uplifting feeling that WSS concerts always provided. Thank you to those who helped out at the WSS concerts and those of you who purchased ads in our program booklet.
Victoria Schneider, Director of WSS, gave of her heart and soul to WSS. Her absolute love for music was poured into each and every musical selection, rehearsal preparation, administrative task(s) and concert performance. Since 1996 she has offered women in Manchester and surrounding communities a space and place to lift their voices - perhaps for the first time in their lives - with lyrics that had meaning and purpose, harmonies that blended not only notes but hearts, and an opportunity to come together with other women to bring a very special sound and energy not only to each other, but out into the world. For her, music was more than entertainment. Music was and still is, a vital energy of wholeness. She will always bring music wherever she goes.
