AKSARA AUDITIONS
AKSARA is an a cappella ensemble from Southern New Hampshire. AKSARA has been together since 1998 and over the years has had a few incarnations. People's lives change; People change. To be a member of AKSARA is a wonderful, awesome and humbling experience. Being a member of AKSARA is not simply about joining a singing group; it is about being a member who is seriously committed and dedicated to the overall heart, core and Spirit of AKSARA.

August 25, 2009: Informative Session about Joining Women Spirit Song
Come to the INFORMATIONAL SESSION on Tuesday evening, August 25, 2009 from 7:00-8:00 PM at 457 Milton St., Manchester, NH, the home of Victoria Schneider, Executive Director of Inner Harmony Music. She will be there to fully explain how to become a member as well as fill you in on the details about rehearsal, the songs we learn and sing, and all and any concerns you may have about singing. The more you sing, the better you'll feel.

November 15, 2008: AKSARA's 10th Anniversary Concert
On Saturday evening, November 15, 2008 at 7:00 PM, AKSARA will present their autumn concert
celebrating their 10 years together. A repertoire of favorite pieces from their huge repertoire will
fill the Nancy S. Boettiger Performing Arts Auditorium with the much loved AKSARA sound.
October 25, 2008: Tools for the Journey 2
Saturday, October 25, 2008 From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University at Webster Hall, Inner Harmony Music will present, TOOLS for the JOURNEY II, a day long series of eight workshops. The workshops are informative, practical and inspirational. They will feed your heart and soul as well as your mind and body. They will bring you to a deeper understanding of yourself and others. Now that's a LOT of GOODNESS packed into one day! Here's a sampling of the workshop offerings:

September 10, 17, & 24, 2008: African Hand Drumming for Beginners
Inner Harmony Music is offering another 3 week session for Beginning African Drumming.
This session is for beginners AND for the students who attended the August 3 week session. We will learn AND REVIEW the 9 rhythmic Patterns as taught by the late Babatunde Olatunji, master drummer. These are integral rhythms to African drumming. This session will be taught by Jenn Sweeney, drummer for Spiritsong Drummers. Jenn has been drumming with Spiritsong Drummers for eight years and is a former member of the drum ensemble Olaibo. Jenn taught a quick session of beginning drumming this summer at Breakthrough Manchester at the Derryfield School. She is a fabulous and very patient teacher.
September 9, 2008: WSS Begins
Women 14 years of age and older...Do you love to sing?....Do you like meeting other women?.....do you want to develop your talents and be a part of something special? Then Women Spirit Song is for you! Women Spirit Song, Southern New Hampshire's largest non-auditioned women's chorus is accepting new members for it's 21st season which BEGINS September 9. Tuition is only $10.00 per week. First semester is 10 weeks and second semester is 12 weeks.

For the last 11 years, over 300 women have sung with Women Spirit Song. On Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 7:00 PM, you can ask WSS Director, Victoria (Vic) Schneider any question you choose. Come to the FREE INFORMATIVE SESSION FOR NEW WSS MEMBERS. It's THE best way to get a really good sense for how WSS works and what it's all about.
August 5, 12, and 19, 2008: African Hand Drumming for Beginners
Drumming is AWESOME! If you've never tried it, please do so this August. IHM is offering a THREE-WEEK session during the first 3 Tuesdays evenings this August 5th , 12th , and 19th. Lois Emond, Drum Coordinator for Women Spirit Song is the facilitator for these workshop sessions. Lois is an amazing teacher; perfect for beginning students. If you really want to try African hand Drumming, take advantage of this course. It brings you to an exciting primal place of rhythm within yourself. Do it for YOU!

All About?
Join WSS Director, Victoria (Vic)
Schneider for an hour and a half at her home at 457
Milton St. in Manchester, NH to find out more about
becoming a WSS member. She will answer the “who,
what, when, where, and whys” of Women Spirit Song.
You will learn about the “whens” and “hows”
of the rehearsal and learning process. Bring a friend
with you if you so choose.
This is a wonderful opportunity for mothers and daughters,
aunts and nieces, grandmothers and granddaughters. The age limit for young girls is 12
years old. Being a member of WSS is truly a personal
journey to YOURSELF via song!

WORKSHOP 2: Journey Through the Chakras with Yoga &
Sound.
Join Rosemary Clough, Director of
Moving Spirit, the Center for Yoga, Dance & Wellness,
Merrimack, NH and member of WSS for an innovative experiential
3 hour workshop, discovering how the ancient Hindu metaphysical
chakra system affects your body, mind and spirit. There
are 7 major chakras, or subtle energy centers, in our
bodies. We will have fun exploring and understanding
the value of each of the chakras, integrating yoga,
breathing techniques and sound. At the end of this workshop you will
have a good overview of the chakra system and some practical
tools to take home and use in your daily life.
April 6, 2008: Women Spirit Song Concert
WOMEN SPIRIT SONG in their 20th concert, directed by Victoria Schneider at the historic Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH - 80 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. 73 women lifting their voices in song - 16 Spiritsong Drummers drumming fabulous African rhythms. Joining WSS this year is ANIMATERRA, the women's community chorus from the Monadnock region here in NH....under the direction of Allison Aldrich.
