AKSARA is an a cappella ensemble from Southern New Hampshire. AKSARA has been together since 1998 and over the years has had a few incarnations. People's lives change; People change. To be a member of AKSARA is a wonderful, awesome and humbling experience. Being a member of AKSARA is not simply about joining a singing group; it is about being a member who is seriously committed and dedicated to the overall heart, core and Spirit of AKSARA.
AKSARA, is currently holding auditions for new members. The group performs a variety of music, with the major focus being contemplative, uplifting and soothing melodies.

This year's repertoire offers many new and wonderful pieces as well as a few audience favorites. Set your evening aside and take the time to fully enjoy these beautiful harmonies, this lovely repertoire and a heartfelt vocal experience. What a NICE way to spend the Saturday night before Thanksgiving - with the seven members of AKSARA in concert!

Once again this year, AKSARA has been invited to perform at the Annual Winter Holiday Stroll, traditionally held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This is their sixth year at the Stroll.
It's a wonderful event for the city of Nashua. Last year there were over 30,000 people in attendance. AKSARA will join over 60 other performers for the event.
November 15, 2008: AKSARA's 10th Anniversary Concert
On Saturday evening, November 15, 2008 at 7:00 PM, AKSARA will present their autumn concert
celebrating their 10 years together. A repertoire of favorite pieces from their huge repertoire will
fill the Nancy S. Boettiger Performing Arts Auditorium with the much loved AKSARA sound.

AKSARA's toning will be featured as one of the workshop choices for Inner Harmony Music's, TOOLS for the JOURNEY II, on October 25, 2008. "Peaceful Healing through TONING" allows energy to move through your body via sound. It's a beautiful, soothing energy that cradles you in gentle sound.

AKSARA will be the featured a cappella ensemble at Southern NH University on Thursday, September 25, 2008 for the art exhibit called The Artists Line: A Drawing Exhibition, which highlights selections from the UNH collection which will include work from the 18th century through the Modern art period.
